Tarot is an occult tool for divination and reflection, where one lays cards in a spread to meditate on an issue or seek advice.

At the time I started this project, I wanted to update and distill the imagery seen in the classic Rider-Waite deck (1909) and its variants. Many tarot decks are overcrowded with outdated symbolism, which I found difficult to work with in my personal tarot practice.

This deck primarily uses color theory, symbolism from western classical art, and a clean, minimalist aesthetic to evoke the meaning of each card.

Like most traditional Tarot decks, it was intended to contain 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana (which are significant energies or “trump cards”) and 56 Minor Arcana (containing 4 suits of 10 numbered cards and 4 court cards).
